I still remember my childhood when everymorning some line of pooja Aarti “OM jai jagdish hare” by my mamma used to get me up and we sisters always struck up to whom our mamma papa devote these sweets, flowers and aarti. We were told “He is God called by different names,Can do everthing,is present everywhere, justify a person’s life,”.As we know for a child every simple thing is a wonder that he/She come across and atmosphere plays a great role in shaping his thought process.Gradually we started imitating our parents lightening the Deepak, enchanting those Sanskrit mantras and singing those lines became our routine without knowing any logic. We were told some Dont’s like plucking flowers, hurting animals & small insects as God lies in every creature of the world. So for us everything was that of God’s.Finally we all children accumulated the idea that God is very powerful, kind and intelligent (that’s why he understand Sanskrit also,so must be knowing other foreign languages too) and lies in our heart also.We kept our hand on our heart hearing the heartbeats murmured “God is making noise”With this fear of God we learn so many good things like respect, sharing, hardwork, honesty, winning of good over evil, etc.
But time flies with its hidden wings, passing through our school, college, different ages we reach in a stage where testing starts of all what you learnt and values that inculcated lifetime. We see people running fastly for their desires ,you realize in one second you are also part of this crowd. Now we encounter different set of values- conflict of age, interests, new Vs Old,power play of politics, materialism.Totally different picture that we painted throughout our life. All this is creation of those people who call themselves mature.I don’t want to curse or lament on these things.
Actually we all are good by heart but we don’t listen to our heart. There is a child within all of us who need to be awaken & remind what you have learnt in the childhood !!
