My Newzealand Diary-South Island

At Nelson one person from our  car rental agency came to pick us as their outlet was bit far from airport.
And at agency we completed all formities and took the car with GPS as we were supposed to drive a lot now.
So We drove from Nelson to Motueka and reached our motel the nice stay :)
Motels in Newzealand are very comfortable and gives a homely environment with all cleanliness.Dont underestimate them as you are paying less tham premier hotels. As far as my experience is concerned i find them really very very good.
So after getting freshen up we just roam around few streets.
Next day our plam was to do Abel Tasman National Park :) We heard a lot about this and it was in our must do list.
Early morning with all enthusiasm we started for Abel Tasman and from T junction we saw a road sign both ways Abel Tasman we chose the one with less distance and were driving towards it.In another 40 mins we realized there is something wrong as we have already done around more than 40km from T junction but we we saw a road sign uphill showing Abel Tasman so we started driving.Oh My God the road was a narror one leading to uphills with no place to stop in mid way.I was feeling bit scared to see the depth of valley full of trees and Niraj was enjoying to see my pale face :) Then i saw few senior citizens with all excitement driving with high speed i feel like i am really less than them ;) Then i started enjoying those lush green depth and mild breeze on face.
Now we both started cracking jokes as we are sure we are at wrong track for a right destination but a right track with wrong destination..the unknown..slowly that road ended on a uphill and we see only one connecting non concrete road leadding to other mountain.
I stopped Niraj and asked him to find place to park car and inquire.
Oh wonderful we could see a small cofee/tea shop on our left side.
It was bit different in the sense a very beautiful lady with green eyes selling tea and few other woolen stuff seems like taken from her own animals.
There were lots of animals like deer and a small camel type and few birds she was taking care.It was a bright sun of 1PM we decided to rest and have tea and our favorite carrot cake.
Also we saw same ladies whom we saw on our way.when i shared my fear that i encountered on the way they said "it was lovely my dear not scarry" and a gentleman with them just winked pointing out non concrete road "if you take this road may be you will never be seen again" hahaha

So after a rest we decided to leave our plan for Abel Tasman and moving towards Kaiteriteri (yellowish sand with dark blue clean water).
On the way we met a french couple who guided us to Kaiteriteri and we felt relax..finally we got a destination where we wanted to reach.
That beautiful view of Kaiteriteri people doing kayak and swimming seems like its not real its a painting with vivid colours.

After that adventurous unplanned one ofcourse we came back to our hotel and rested whole night to start a very long trip by road.
Our plan was to drive from Motueka to Franz Josef app 500 KM as we wanted to spend more time in Franz Josef. On the way we were aware we will have chance to see Greymouth and Westport but with our schedule we cant think of doing each and every attractions and we have to be selective.
So we decided to go to Greymouth directly but another surprize was waiting for us..our GPS suddenly stopped working after hardly 50 km so we tried to find out with our agency if we can get some assistance they said nothing before Queenstown possible. We tried in Murchison to get it repaired but seems like buying the new one was the only way.
So we both were very disappointed whether we will be able to continue our south journey :( :( as South island is so much without people you need to drive 50-70 km to find a small town. Anyways we both decided to continue with our journey with help of maps and road signs. This journey of 460KM i dont remember that we did a major mistake in getting the right road..Road signs were so clear and moreover our friendly Newzealanders we infact we enjoyed it to the most.

What happens happens for a reason  this journey actually opened our mind  that sometimes unplanned can be the most pleasant surprize so even if nothing happening as per your plan ..its God's plan

Honestly I want to pen down everything here about those long  road trips, those beautiful lakes,, people we met in our journey, Tasman sea drive, our food experience there is so much to cherish..

But for this trip i will just say i would have missed something if i dont plan for NZ.

Lots of love for NZ !!
